In PFS Training, we use the following different ranges of distance.

As you get closer to your attacker or he gets closer to you, so your range will change and therefore your strategy must change with fluidity to enable you to win the engagement.

PFS Training consists of the following elements:
Single Stick
Double Stick
Energy Drills
Trapping
Ground work
The Rat
Sumbrada
Numerada
Kick Boxing & Tae Kwon-Do
Knife Tapping & the U Drill
Control and compliance including Defendo
Flow

These obviously take time to learn, but the common theme is the attributes you are building.
We should then be able to take all the techniques that we learn and apply them to different ranges
